+## The issue
+
+Only the last 4 major versions of Home Assistant Operating System are supported.
+Systems running a version older then that are no longer supported.
+
+## The solution
+
+You need to update the version of Home Assistant Operating System. Go to
+{% my updates title="**System** > **Updates**" %} to update the operating system.
+
+If your system is significantly out of date you may need to update multiple times
+to get to the latest version. The next one will appear in the UI after the prior
+one is complete.
