## Viewing the available disk space
Follow these steps to check the available free disk space.
1. Go to **{% my storage title="Settings > System > Storage" %}**.
2. Under disk metrics, hover over the status bar to view the details.
- {% icon "mdi:information-outline" %} The **Network storage** section only shows if you have [added network storage](/common-tasks/os/#network-storage).
