## The issue
Only the last 4 major versions of Home Assistant Operating System are supported.
Systems running a version older then that are no longer supported.
## The solution
You need to update the version of Home Assistant Operating System. Go to
{% my updates title="**System** > **Updates**" %} to update the operating system.
If your system is significantly out of date you may need to update multiple times
to get to the latest version. The next one will appear in the UI after the prior
one is complete.
